The Bob Baffert effect will be there for us to see or not at the Affirmed Stakes on Saturday, July 2nd. Good afternoon APEX Horse Betting fans. We look forward to Santa Anita where a small field race is being used to try and train an old horse new tricks. A Three Year old by the name of Danzing Candy. He has a good deal of speed but little regard how to use it. We will examine the horse’s below average past and see if it can prevail in a field of five for the Affirmed Stakes on 7/2.
Baffert Effect : 5th Race 3:29 PST Post Time
Danzing Candy had some people taking notice after winning Grade II San Felipe Stake in impressive fashion. However mixed in with that was a horse that could not restrain himself. He got fourth in the Santa Anita Derby by over 13 lengths off. The Kentucky Derby was a disaster with 20 lengths out and in 15th place. This is where Bob Baffert decided to pluck some value. He was transfered from the Clifford Sise barn and then Baffert’s people went to work.
Key to the Race
To harness his speed and re teach the horse how to race with a three year old is not a straight forward proposition. This 5th race on Saturday is a perfect trial. Danzing Candy is near a 5/2 favorite. Should pay off even if the horse wants to go wire to wire. However, will it run a complete race. If this horse shows progress, we could have an excellent long odds candidate at Americas Bookies Racebook for future races.
We can watch the 5th race on Saturday from Santa Anita, learn, and profit. Danzing Candy could be that genie in the bottle for profits down the road. So make a little profit on him and enjoy the action from the race book at Americas Bookie. Good fortune and we will see you next week here at APEX Horse Betting. Have a Happy 4th of July weekend to all our readers in the USA.
